Pierian Spring Academy

It's all about Passion

Dear Friends,

I heard a person tonight say: It's passion that fuels a dream and a person's pursuit.

This is the story of Pierian Spring Academy. We're a place where people with a passion can show it off and others can come and experience and learn from that passion.

Jay Wilson taught Shakespeare for years and years but in retirement has followed his passion: ballet.

George Stassa spent his life as a doctor but now shows off his passion: the Civil War.

Rosemary Bowler was a school administrator but now delves into both murders and "the wonderful world of words".

Helen Schwartz, another murder person and college professor, finds the power and impact of certain documents more than fascinating.

Noreen Wald left the business world in later life to write mysteries - nine of them - and tells us how to do a murder, write and book and get published.

Paul Sarno, a one-time New York lawyer, tells me he is, at last, doing what he fell in love with in his youth - the life and lore of those varied and exotic countries of Southest Asia. His class, starting at the end of February, gives you a journey never to forget to places that are dim on our day-to-day screen but, for the person who loves the far-reaches of the world, a trip to eleven important and - hot right now in the last five years - intriguing peoples and places and happenings.
